Illness

I bid you good-day... Is that a greeting? Anyway, hi! I'm really happy at this particular point in time cos my mp3 player just started playing a song I didn't think it had! YAY!
Apart from my over-excitedness (is that a word?), I have been ill. It's ok, you don't have to send me grapes. But I haven't eaten them in a long time... I got told by the 1st "Dr" I saw that it was nothing, a bit of flu, so get plenty of rest and it should be better. Woke up the next morning sweating profusely, so I thought I needed a second opinion. Either glandular fever or tonsilitis. How exciting. Thank god it's only tonsilitis, and after a few days of penicillin I'm feeling much better.
Apart from that, nothing much else has been happening! Weather's good, alcohol seems to just get better and better, people as nice as ever.

Long time no speak...

Before I start... I hate computers... I spent about 20 minutes doing this blog and it didn't work, so I have to try and do it all again!

I hope everyone back home is happy and well. Only 48 days 'til Christmas! I guess it must be cooling down at home, I'll send you some sun!
It's the Melbourne Cup today, a horse race. It's basically an excuse for a public holiday, and for everyone to get drunk. I didn't go, but I'm there in spirit!
I had a really strange conversation with my boss last week. He was asking me about my travel plans and "if they are set in stone". I get the impression he is thinking of sponsoring me, which doesn't seem like a bad prospect. At least $500 a week to help out around the office, and I can then work on becoming an owner with less pressure of making sales.
What made it an even more interesting prospect was what we witnissed yesterday. Our office and about 80 other people from offices around Melbourne witnessed someone get promoted to leadership. He received a Gucci watch as a present, and he has only been within the group for 10 months!
My boss also added a little cash incentive to anyone that can reach Assistant Owner by Christmas, a $5000 (about 2 grand) bonus! Quite nice...
Talking of Christmas, I'm going to miss you guys back home! Bekkie and Lucy will be here with us, but I will miss the famous treasure hunt in my dressing gown!
James is a bit disappointed that he has been assigned a new client with some other people in my office. I'm sticking with MSF, but he has moved over to Child Fund, which is a bit more difficult, but everyone likes a challenge!
I better go before the computer implodes or something similar, but I'll try and update soon!
