CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone who takes time to read this had an amazing Christmas. It was my first Christmas away from home and I truly enjoyed it. I will update this blog with festive photographs when I remember to bring my camera into the city.
I would like to thank everyone who sent me gifts of any shape or size, you should be receiving a Christmas card in the post any day now.
For those of you who haven't heard, sunny old Melbourne was cold on Christmas today. Almost to the point of a white Christmas as it hailed in the morning. So we were not able to have a barbeque on the beach.
I did get a diary among many other presents from Bekkie and Lucy so I will be able to write in that when I don't get the chance to do my blog and then transfer the memories over. I will write down the rest of the gifts that i received from my housemates when I next do my blog as I have written a list in my diary.
IOU updated big bang blog.
Til next time

The big bang

Before I forget, I have quit now by the way!

Unusual title I know, but I haven't done a proper blog w
ith photos in such a long time. So here is one with photos dating a few months back to the present day. I have prepared myself with my music as I think I will be sitting in this chair for a while...

I will start at the beginning with the most money that I have ever seen, it was the most money I think I have ever held in my life. Then we had to give it to the landlady... not so fun. I was such an ecstatic feeling to finally move into our own apartment. It's probably the same feeling when everyone else moves into their home, but as this was my first move into my own place where I could do (almost) anything that I wanted to do, it was a fantastic emotion. It has now been taken over by girls with their bras hanging to dry off doors and flowers in vases... eurgh!

Here you go Mum- onto the food! I like to cook, that is pretend it's cooking when all I'm doing is actually putting stuff in the oven for the time it states on the packaging and hoping it doesn't burn. I'm quite looking forward to making Christmas dinner for my house actually. I've never done a meal that big before, so it will no doubt be... Interesting... I will make sure to take pictures of that as well, and the reactions on faces. However, I'm confident that it will go ok as I have my amazing cook book with every food and every way of cooking it inside thanks to my families interesting yet clever Birthday gift. Not quite sure how I will manage lugging the 3kg of paper around for the rest of the year though, I'm sure Ill sort something out. Anyway, without further ado, here comes the food.

First up we have an interesting mix of foods, but it was so tasty! It's tortellini pasta with different sauces, breadcrumbed chicken legs, and lots and lots of peas.

And this is about 2 minutes later. Yum, I'm hungry…

Secondly, here is the making of a stir fry. This was pretty gorgeous as well. This recipe comes thanks of my dear aunt Elizabeth. It has absolutely everything in this stir fry, but the main ingredient being noodles as you can see. There is a bit of chicken and various vegetables as well, and it was plain delicious.

Not quite sure what this is. There is definitely some bread and boiled potatoes, I think it may be tortellini again. Bit boring!

This was another triumph! There's a T-bone steak here (which I don’t think you can get in England thanks to ye olde mad cows), more peas and some lovely roast potatoes.

Sticking with the roast potatoes (I like them), we have roast chicken with stuffing and lots of thick gravy. By this point I was getting pretty good at the roast potatoes, then I heard from a woman on a door that if you put flour with the potatoes and oil in the oven it makes them even crunchier. Couldn’t be bothered to buy flour as we don’t use it for anything else, so I just fluff them up in the saucepan before putting them in the oven. I tend to get a bit overexcited and there seems to be a lot of mashed potato at the bottom of the saucepan when I'm done shaking. They make nice crunchy bits though!

Onto a slightly more normal subject, I went to a rugby game with my old boss, Dean, and James. It was the tri-nations, Australia vs. New Zealand. The first sports game I've been to, it was an experience never to forget. The roar, the excitement, and the incredible concentration it takes to walk in a straight line after the game. I can't remember the score, I just know that Australia won which is good as we were supporting them. Shame my support didn’t help England so much in the Ashes… Sadly not many of the pictures that I took were of good quality, so I have a few that did come out alright.

This is the lads at our seats (Dean is the one in the middle by the way).

Here are some people running around the field.

Here is James just about to have a panic attack with a couple of lovely Kiwis.

Here are some strange Oz boys sitting behind us.

Now to the genre that most people start from around 15 and continue til their last breath… can you guess it yet? Here are some clues.

From left to right- James, Bekkie, Lucy, myself, Adrian and Joe. Adrian and Joe are a couple of mates from work that we regularly go out with. You can get the gist of the evening by seeing the wine bottle and various cans and bottles. Just out of shot is another 4 bottles, 48 cans and 18 bottles… Yummy!

Here is Bekkie and Lucy on another night playing a game. It's called drink up!

really slow internet connection, i will find another internet cafe and do it then...

This is James on his thinking post again. You can see some of the Christmas decorations that the girls kindly put up.

James, falling over…

This is my happy face!

Twister without the mat, and adapted so James can sit down the whole time. I'm winning!

Finally here are some before and after shots of a recent night in. It will grow back Grandma, don’t worry!

End of an era...

I think that my time at Credo Promotions may soon be over. It's too hot, too stressful and I really don't like my boss at the moment.
I'm sure everyone reading this has had a problem with authority at some point, I certainly have and I still do. I don't like the fact that because my boss hired me, he thinks he can control me and make comments that I won't have the guts to stand up to. Well guess what, I do, and I have the support of everyone else in my office.
Another rather hysterical piece of news... My alarm didn't go off yesterday for work, so I got a phone call from a colleague asking where I was. I then rushed to get to where I was meant to be working so I "didn't let my team down", and it took 4 HOURS!!!! I spent a whole 15 minutes actually doing work, and consequently didn't make any money. I really despise this job.
James has left already, I think it was quite brave of him. The only reason that I haven't left yet is due to the fact that I want to replace myself for my leader. I like him, not my boss.
I have got to go anyway, UCAS is looming and I think I am going to start looking for another job for the Christmas period, otherwise it will be beans on toast for our roast.
I hope you are all enjoying the weather in England, tipped 42C here yesterday!
Til next time
Tom
