Hello again!
Hello there stranger, where have you been? Well I've been around as you know, haven't done this since New Zealand so it's a bit strange!
This is myself and the girls on one of our first nights together in New Zealand. That's my bed, the little silver thing. It was also James'. Not too comfy...I'm actually in Bangkok right now, that's in Thailand by the way... I've been to Fiji for 8 days since and it was so much fun. However Thailand ain't too shabby. Pretty cheap everything, and the people really want to be your friend unless you don't want to give them money. O well, I guess they have got to make a living.
I have got a confession to make... I didn't take any photos in Fiji. Actually I took 3 or 4, but only on the last day. I sort of relied on James to take photos, so there are photos, have no fears!
A quick re-cap of Fiji for you all... If you haven't been to a 3rd world country, then I suggest you go here. It is amazing how rudimentary everything is, the people live such simple lives and are incredibly happy. Same again with the nagging for money, but I guess we are like treasure troves for them, especially if they can rope us into something. I expect the name Robinson Crusoe sounds familiar? I went to an island named that for a day. It was basically an island where you can relax, eat, swim, and run in circles if you really want. You can just do what you want when you want, and the staff there are good enough to help you do things that need a bit of instruction. They performed before we left, and there was a man with a fire-staff (stick with fire on both ends) and he was spinning and twirling and whooshing. All very entertaining. Plus the speeds at which he did these precise antics were pretty impressive.
James and I are currently waiting for a 13-hour bus journey to take us to Koh Pan yang. We will be staying there for a week or so, and going to the Full Moon Party. WOOHOOOOO!!! Its on a beach and in peak season there can be anywhere up to 30 000 people gathered there. There are around 10 different sound systems playing anything from drum n bass to hip hop, dance to hard house. I think it should be a lot of fun!
A friend of James told us about some huts just around the corner of where it is held, apparently not many people know about it, and it will be a beautiful place to stay. White sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, vodka cheaper than cola... Nice!
I better head off as I only have 3 minutes remaining on the clock and I want it to upload properly.
Til next time,
Tom
