Work work work

We had a trial shift at http://www.manchesterlane.com.au/ last night. Pretty nice huh? It was daunting at first with the accents of the Aussies, and who's ever heard of a pot of Stella? Strange people... Anyway, it went ok, and by the end we had gotten the hand of things. I don't think we will take the job if we get offered it though, there are not enough hours for both of us to work to get an apartment. I could get a lifeguarding job, the pay is good and the hours aren't bad, and who can complain about watching a bunch of sun-blessed scantily-clad aussies play around in the water........ mmmmmm......... BUT!!!! Lifeguarding is sooo dull, and it would be better if we both worked the same shift at a bar or club etc. so we could explore the city together and not leave each other hanging around watching the world go by.
Yesterday I was saying to James how it would be rubbish to be a pigeon. Not only are they about the same cuteness as sewer-rats, but they have no life. Being a human, you are able to court people, go shopping, get absolutely hammered in a club and enjoy it, meet people, talk, and above all have the brain power to figure out that if a furry ball on the ground tasted bad, it will still taste bad 5 seconds after.
However, sitting outside a cafe today with a coffee, I changed my mind. No worries about money, you wouldn't feel embarrassed trying the same furry ball twice, and life is pretty goddamn simple. I'm sure life will pick up in time, but it's just waiting around that's bugging me.
Please comment with ideas of money-making ideas, or if you have a slightly insane wealthy relative in Australia that has fun giving English people lots and lots of money.
Time is ticking people, and as they say time is money. For some people... So I will leave you all of the humorous thought of James and I trying out at a model agency later today. I don't think I need to post how we do.
'Til next time!
Tom
