We win
Hello again. We do win. By a long way. We have an apartment, we have our tax file numbers so we can finally get paid, and we have big smiles on our faces.
As you can see, we have taken some photos of out apartment, I will guide you through them.
This is our hallway as you see it when you walk in the front door. I will explain now that we had no power last night because it hadn't been connected.

This is James humping my sleeping bag in his room. Notice the candle... romantic.

Me doing a handstand against the wall in my room. Who painted that painting on the wall? I remember trying to copy it in an art class in primary school.

James standing in the bath looking... straight... Again, the candle on the sink. The shower is opposite where James is standing just out of shot on the left.

Myself enjoying one of my favourite past-times. Lovely glow eminating from the candle... just make sure it's not too windy...

James on his thinking pedistool. Thats taken from the kitchen into the living room.

Enjoying a candlelit sleep.

James poring over some bills in the kitchen. Pretty nice table huh?!

James and I doing what we do best.
Love to you all.
Til next time
Tom

Great to hear from you again my gorgeous boy
All looking good with you and I love the photos - you are looking a little lean. Did you ever get that T-bone?
Nice to see you have nothing to hide from James.
Pasta and tomato sauce or just cheese is a quick easy filling stand-by, I will pass the message onto Grandma I am sure she will have a few ideas.
Missing you and enjoying your antics.
Love Mum xxx
Hey you,
Looks like you are having fun as per usual, but looking a little on the skinny side!! Presume it is too much beer and not enough food as opposed to contracting a severe case of worms!! Careful you don't end up with a beer belly which would leave you looking like a giant blonde haired ethiopian child with odema!!
Flat looks really nice, bet you're both gonna be wooing the ladies with your fantastic choice of accomodation, fine selection of bed linen and fragrant toilet facilities!! I guess they'll be that drunk they won't even realise!! Only kidding i'm sure the honeys will be flocking to your door! Oh yeah and also tell James to stop dry humping things it isn't good for him, or more to the point your sleeping bag!!
Any news on the modelling front? How are the jobs going? Keep me informed of all your activities. Nothing new here, went to Sark for that wedding this weekend and met the wife and kid. Went better than expeceted, but still a little crazy - hey ho, my pretty screwed up life just keeps on going!!
Take care, speak soon honey xxxx
Hi Tom,
Not sure if u will remember us but we r the couple who stayed with u (well, at yr b&b) just b4 u left for Oz. U & your friend James seem to be doing very well over there by the sounds of your blog. Work out what a donga was? Anyway, u asked for some recipes, so here are 3 for u!
CHILLI CON CARNE
Here is the url for a recipe for chilli con carne I thought you might like:
http://www.schwartz.co.uk/recipedetail.cfm?id=1105
If u double or even triple the recipe u can put it into clean plastic containers (save and wash ones from takeaways) and freeze it so that u can have it another time w'out the hassle of making it again! Also it is nice served on either toast or rice. If wanting to have it on rice, an easy way of making rice is to just buy the Uncle Ben's cook in bag type rice.
TUNA POTATOES
(Ingredients: potatoes, canned tuna, garlic, butter/marg, cheese, plus salad veg if wanted)
Another recipe Jamie and I like, and is very easy, is what we call tuna potatoes. We get either desiree, pontiac, or just brushed potatoes and we leave the skin on and give them a wash, then dig out the eyes (best to use the medium sized ones in the bag btw, about 2-3 per person). After removing the eyes, cut the potatoes in half (not lengthways tho - it's not easy describing all this btw!) and bung em in the microwave for 10 minutes (or bung em in the oven - whatever is easier. We do em in the microwave for quickness). While those are being nuked, open up a can of tuna per person (am judging this on the fact you are growing boys!) and drain this of its liquid. Then chop up some cloves of garlic finely (2 large cloves per person). The microwave will probably have pinged by now. Check whether the potatoes are soft. If not, put them on for a further 5 minutes (check again on the next ping and put on for more if needed). Once yr potatoes are done, divide them up per person on plates that can be microwaved. Cut them open a bit and mash in a bit of butter/marg, then put some tuna on them, and sprinkle some garlic over the top. Then put each plate of food into the microwave for another 2-3 minutes. Grate some cheese over the top. Then you can either eat them like that or add some salad veg (lettuce, tomato etc) on top - which I like but Jamie doesn't!
TACOS
Tacos are a really easy and fun meal. Not sure about in the UK but in Oz they sell "kits" for making tacos in the supermarkets. Go have a look at the packets, which will tell you how much minced beef etc you will need to buy to add the taco mix sachet to. The salsa is usually sold right near the taco kits. You will need some cheese for grating on top of each. Me, the rabbit that I am, likes finely chopped lettuce and tomato on mine too. The easiest way is make up the mince beef mix as per the instructions and heat up the tacos in the oven. Then just stick all the bits on the table so everyone can make their own (bowl of meat mix, bowl of grated cheese, plate of tacos, bowl of salad bits etc).
Hp these are of use and, if so, bon appetite!!!
Diane & Jamie
